Video: William Shatner & LeVar Burton drink wine & talk Reading Rainbow

Burton and Shatner Talk Life over Wine

LeVar Burton is billed as an “educator” in the the latest installment of William Shatner’s Brown Bag Wine Tasting. He’s certainly that, though most people probably think of Burton as an actor first. Either way, the former Star Trek: The Next Generation star and Reading Rainbow creator/host chats with Star Trek’s original Captain Kirk as they drink a mystery bottle of white wine, the label of which is obscured by a brown bag. That’s the concept of the show: drink and talk, drink and talk, and drink and talk some more.

Shatner steers the conversation from Burton’s life and career to the merits of the wine being imbibed. Shatner asks Burton to recount his youth, prompting Burton to note, “If we’re going to talk about my childhood, wine should be involved.” Shatner then asks Burton to describe the wine as if it were a child; trust us, you don’t want to mis that exchange. Burton later pays heartfelt tribute to his mom and also discusses how Reading Rainbowhas evolved from its days as an iconic educational television show into a modern-day digital library. And, yes, by the end, Shatner reveals the identity of that wine they’ve been drinking.

(VIDEO & PICS) New Zealand Radio Station’s Wrecking Ball Parody is Hysterical

It seems the web is littered with countless Miley Cyrus “Wrecking Ball” parodies, but a New Zealand radio station’s parody of the song is by far the best we have seen to date.

Jay-Jay, Mike & Dom from New Zealand’s radio station, The Edge, have created a hilarious parody music video complete with a full scale ‘wrecking ball’ and some witty lyrics.

Check out the parody below:

Drink Recipe: Pop My Cherry Shot

1/2 oz. (15ml) Triple Sec
1/2 oz. (15ml) Orange Juice
1/2 oz. (15ml) Cherry Vodka

Sounds great & looks delicious.  Only thing that I’m confused is why the strawberry?

Watch the talented folks at Tipsy Bartender make the Pop My Cherry Shot:

Patrick Stewart’s Amazing Ice Bucket Challenge Video

sir patrick stewart Ice bucket challenge

Always a class act. I love him.

The Ice Bucket Challenges have been a dream come true for many of us.  They have given us countless opportunities to drool over the various male-celebrity Ice Bucket Challenges—everyone from Cristiano Ronaldo, Joe Manganiello to  Stephen Amell and a pantless James Franco giving our libido a kick while raising money for the ALS Association.

Leave it to one of our favorite men on the planet, Sir Patrick Stewart, to give the Ice Bucket Challenge what it’s really been missing: class.

I hope you enjoy this video as much as the millions of other views.  (to date over 5.6 million views!)

Still loving it a year later: ‘Boy Is A Bottom’ Music Video Parody From Drag Queens

The drag queen trio of the hit song “Chow Down (At Chick-fil-A)” did “Boy Is A Bottom,” a gay sex-themed parody of Alicia Keys’ chart-topping single, “Girl On Fire” back in Jan 2013.  The video has gotten over 14 million views.

If you haven’t watched it in awhile or was living under a rock and never heard of it, watch the three queens — Willam Belli, Vicky Vox and Detox, of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in this hysterical video where they serve up some Alicia Keys realness, poking fun at bottoms.

NSFW: Bryan Hawn’s Sexy Music Video Parodies

Bryan Hawn has made an international name for himself for his sexy butt and doing parody videos.  Here are 3 to lighten your day!

This video is too funny! What you can REALLY do with your hashtag

Call me old-fashioned, but I really do feel overwhelmed by social media some days.  And I truly wish that the “Anti-hashtag Movement” would succeed.  I hate it.  It just seems so senseless to hashtag something when it’s not even on twitter. A normally simple sentence becomes a minefield of hashes fraught with a lack of punctuation that would reduces a conversation to a brand new low.  In fact, while the human race has achieved things as amazing such as sending a rover to Mars, our grammar has degraded to #OMGFMLLOLRATCHET

How is it that we have allowed social media to take over so much of our lives that we really are nothing but mindless zombies, who wander the streets bumping into people on our smartphones, slaves to the next big thing, the next Facebook, the next ridiculous hashtag.

I say “ENOUGH!”  Now in this funny video, they encourage the use of the percentage symbol, which of course has enraged SOMEONE, because it has a legitimate use.  Guess what jerkoff – so did the “pound sign” aka hashtag.  Yes, I know the % sign is an intelligent way for users and journalists to sort information quickly and it weakens the known uses for the % symbol by using it incorrectly.

But for the love of things good, please stop with the hashtags.  Furthermore, please don’t use them when speaking either.

All I have to say to anyone using them all the time: F*CKYER hashtags! %takethat

sexy ginger men calendar 2015

A new calender featuring 12 ‘red hot‘ gingers promises to get you through 2015 and help you develop an even bigger love for red heads.

Photographer Thomas Knights launched the RED HOT project to inspire ginger men to be proud of their red hair and dismantle gingerphobia.

“The collection aims to dispel the popular preconception that ginger men are somehow less attractive and weaker than their brunette or blonde counterparts,” Knights writes.

The calender proceeds will also go in-part to benefit the Anti-Bullying Alliance, which supports its aim to change how gingers are viewed in modern society and in particular males.

According to Knights:

The 2014 Calendars help to raise more than £6,000 for various anti-bullying charities, so the hope is to raise even more money and awareness of those with red hair needing support.Thomas continued: “It amazed me how our western culture holds redheaded women to such high regard, almost the ‘ultimate’ female, and redheaded males in such low esteem; emasculated and desexualised in film, TV and literature.

“I wanted to flip this stereotype on its head and present the redheaded male as the ‘ultimate’ alpha male. Essentially, ginger boys desperately needed a rebrand and I felt like I was in a good position to do it.”
